平素よりトヨタ白川郷自然學校をご愛顧いただき誠にありがとうございます。
先日（10/5）、白川郷・合掌集落内にて熊（ツキノワグマ）による人的被害が確認されました。自然學校では昨今全国的にみられる熊による被害や、今回発生しました村内における事案も踏まえつつ、ご利用になるお客様皆さまに「安全・安心」をもってご滞在を提供できるよう常日頃より以下のとおり熊対策を行っております。
＜トヨタ白川郷自然學校における対策＞
①アクティビティ中、ガイドは熊撃退スプレーを携行いたします。大人数で活動している時に出現可能性は少ないですが、万が一遭遇した際はガイドの指示に従うようお願いしています。
②定期的に敷地内の草刈りを実施し、見通しを良くすることでツキノワグマとの住み分けを行っております。
③フロントにて熊鈴の無料貸出を行っています。お客様が単独、または少人数で森に入られる際に遭遇することを防ぐためにも熊鈴等音の鳴るものを身につけていただくようお願いしています。
④ツキノワグマは昼夜問わず活動をしますが、特に早朝と夕方以降に活動が活発になります。早朝及び夕方以降の一人歩きは控えていただくようお願いしています。
⑤自然學校周辺で目撃があった場合、スタッフ間で熊の目撃情報等は最新のものを共有しております。
スタッフからお客様に対し出来る限りの情報提供等は行ってまいりますが、お客様自身におかれましても森へ入る際は、お一人お一人の心がけとご協力を賜りますようお願い申し上げます。

Thank you for your patronage of TOYOTA Shirakawa-Go Eco-Institute.
The other day (10/5), human damage by a bear (Asiatic black bear) was confirmed in the village of Gassho in Shirakawa-go. Taking into account the damage caused by bears that has been seen nationwide recently and the incident that occurred in the village this time, we have been taking the following measures against bears to provide our guests with a safe and secure stay.

1) The guide will carry bear spray during the activity. It is unlikely to appear when you are working with a large group, but if you encounter it, please follow the guide’s instructions.
2) We regularly mow the grass on the premises to improve visibility so that black bears can live separately.
3) You can borrow bear bells for free at the front desk. We ask guests to wear something that makes a sound, such as a bear bell, to avoid encountering them when entering the forest alone or in small groups.
4) Asiatic black bears are active day and night, but they are especially active early in the morning and after evening. Please refrain from walking alone early in the morning and after evening.
5) If there is a bear sighting around the TOYOTA Shirakawa-Go Eco-Institute, staff members share the latest bear sighting information.
We will provide as much information as possible, but we ask that you cooperate with each other when entering the forest.
